Leslie Levin serves as the Hugh Macgill Professor of Law at the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she has been a faculty member since 1994. Her academic appointments include teaching positions at New York University School of Law and the University of Haifa as a Fulbright Specialist, along with a visiting research fellowship at the University of Queensland.

Professor Levin specializes in legal ethics, the legal profession, media law, and evidence, with research focusing on ethical decision-making in legal practice and lawyer regulation. Her scholarly contributions include co-editing Lawyers in Practice: Ethical Decisionmaking in Context and authoring numerous articles examining the intersection of professional conduct and legal practice. She has conducted significant work on access to justice, notably co-authoring a report for Connecticut's Judicial Branch Access to Justice Commission regarding self-represented litigants.

Administrative leadership defines her career: she served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (2012-2014) and Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development (2019-2020), while pioneering roles as the first director of UConn's Lawyering Process Program and inaugural faculty pro bono coordinator. She was principal investigator for a Law School Admissions Council study on bar character and fitness evaluations. Current service includes the Board of Connecticut Legal Services, complementing prior work on the Connecticut Bar Association's Task Force on the Future of the Legal Profession and the Connecticut Joint Task Force on Attorney Trustee Accounts.
