Dr. Lesley Catchpowle is a Senior Lecturer in Social and Critical Accounting at the University of Greenwich's Faculty of Business. With 25+ years of teaching experience and international research work in South Africa, Hong Kong, and China, she brings expertise from her MSc in Industrial Relations (LSE) and PhD from the University of Greenwich.
Her critical theoretical research examines state-capital relations, public sector transformation, privatisation, and neo-liberal policies. Notable contributions include analysis of accounting's role in capitalist systems, social accountability frameworks, and auditing practices in conflict zones like Iraq.
