Leonie Tampus

Leonie Tampus is a Lecturer at the Carolyn McKelvey Moore School of Nursing, University of Arkansas - Fort Smith, where she teaches in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) program. She holds an M.S.N. in Education from Western Governors University (2021) and a B.S.N. from the University of Cebu, Philippines (1994).

Her research interests focus on clinical nursing practice and education, with expertise spanning:

• Maternal and child healthcare
• Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) protocols
• Adult patient care methodologies
• Nursing education transitions

With over two decades of clinical and instructional experience, she has precepted nurses transitioning from L.P.N. to B.S.N. roles and maintains active engagement in bedside care best practices.
