Leonard Fleck is a University Distinguished Professor at the Center for Bioethics and Social Justice, Michigan State University. He joined MSU in 1985 and holds a Ph.D. from St. Louis University. His career includes prior roles at St. Louis University, St. Mary’s College, and Indiana University at South Bend.
Research Interests: Fleck focuses on medical ethics, health care policy, and the ethical implications of emerging genetic technologies. He advocates for community dialogue as a tool for resolving ethical dilemmas in public policy. Recent work involves precision medicine ethics, particularly in cancer treatment contexts.
