Dr Leisa-Maree Toms is an Associate Professor at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), affiliated with the School of Public Health and Social Work under the Faculty of Health. She has over 20 years of experience in Environmental Toxicology and Biomonitoring, specializing in tracking persistent organic pollutants like PFAS in the Australian population. Dr. Toms has co-supervised numerous PhD students through collaborations with the Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences (QAEHS) and currently holds two NHMRC and two ARC grants under QAEHS partnerships.
