Lee Taylor

Lee Taylor is a Reader in Exercise and Environmental Physiology at the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences, part of the University of Technology Sydney. He holds additional roles as Director of Partnerships and International Engagement, and Deputy Director of the Doctoral Programme (Sport Performance). His academic journey includes a BSc (1st Class Honours) from Nottingham Trent University (2006) and a PhD from Hull University (2010). Taylor's research focuses on optimizing elite athlete performance in extreme environments, particularly heat adaptation, and explores the therapeutic applications of environmental exposures in rehabilitation. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles and secured £655,000 in research funding from organizations like UEFA and FIFA. His work extends to sleep, travel, and illness prevention strategies for athletes.
