Leah Terranova serves as the Associate Dean for Academic & Student Affairs at the University of Kansas School of Law since 2012, previously holding roles as Director of Career and Student Counseling Services. She practices law in NYC for 13 years, specializing in litigation and public defense. Her academic leadership focuses on student wellness, mental health, and professional development. She holds a B.A. in English and Dance from Trinity College and a J.D. from Hofstra University.

Research & Leadership: Terranova chairs the AALS Section on Balance in Legal Education and co-chairs suicide prevention trainings. Her expertise spans law student well-being, diversity initiatives, and mental health advocacy. She actively contributes to Kansas Task Force on Lawyer Well-Being and KC LEGAL executive board.
Professional Contributions: Keynote speaker at NALP conferences addressing pandemic-era student mental health and racial equity in legal education. Authored Engaging Your Faculty (NALP 2016) and presented on financial support systems for law students in need.
