Dr. Le Bo is a Senior Lecturer in Organisation Studies and Human Resource Management at the Portsmouth Business School, part of the University of Portsmouth’s Faculty of Business and Law. They joined the university in 2018 and serve as a PhD supervisor. Previously, they held roles at Bournemouth University, including Lecturer in Organisation and Sustainability and Programme Coordinator for the BA (Hons) Business Studies. Dr. Le Bo holds a PhD in Management Studies and MSc in Economics from the University of Essex, UK, alongside a MSc in Industrial Economics and BSc from Beijing Jiaotong University, China.
Research Interests
- International management linked to sustainability and business ethics.
- Organisational power and politics, including governance, corporate social responsibility, and NGO activism.
- Critical theories in organisational studies, such as Gramscian, Foucauldian, and structuration theories.
Awards and Grants
- Recipient of funding from the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation and Asia-Pacific Network Foundation.
- Research paper on China’s passive revolution selected as ‘OS Editor Picks’ (2018) in Organization Studies.
- Fellow (D2) of the Higher Education Academy (now Advance HE).
Teaching and Supervision
- Teaches modules such as Research Skills for the HR Professional, Business Ethics and Sustainability, and Leadership, Ethics, Governance and Sustainability.
- Supervises undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD research in organisational studies and human resource management.
