Lawrence Jackson is a Senior Lecturer in Film Practice at the University of Kent's College of Arts. He holds a background in Modern Languages from Oxford University and training at Bournemouth Film School. With extensive industry experience, he has worked as a Bi-Media Producer for BBC Northern Ireland Drama, directed over fifty hours of radio drama, and produced five short films screened internationally. His research focuses on screenwriting, directing actors, and genre storytelling, particularly ghost stories, thrillers, and westerns. In 2025, he will publish Uncanny Landscapes in 21st Century British Cinema: The Pestilence in the Ditch with Edinburgh University Press.
