Lawrence Friedman

Lawrence Friedman is a Professor of Law at New England Law in Boston, where he has taught since 2004. He is a recognized expert in constitutional law, state constitutional law, privacy law, and national security law. Professor Friedman serves as faculty advisor to the New England Law Review and has been selected by Oxford University Press to edit their series on American state constitutions.

Professor Friedman's research focuses on constitutional challenges in the digital age, particularly examining the intersection of privacy, national security, and constitutional rights. His work explores how constitutional systems grapple with privacy and public expression interests in an age of terrorism, international crimes, and online hate speech.
