Lawrence Edward Blume is a Professor in the Department of Economics at Cornell University's College of Arts and Sciences. He holds affiliations with the graduate fields of Applied Mathematics, Cognitive Science, Economics, and Information Science, as well as Cornell research centers including the Center for Analytic Economics and Center for the Study of Inequality.
His research focuses on evolutionary processes in markets and games, economic theory, game theory, wealth dynamics, and statistical discrimination. He has served as Principal Investigator for grants from the Army Research Development and Engineering Command (2012-2015) and co-PI for NSF grants (2009-2015).
