Laurie Fishman is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and an Attending Physician in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Boston Children’s Hospital. She specializes in pediatric gastrointestinal disorders, with a focus on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), ulcerative colitis, and gastrointestinal motility issues. Her clinical practice spans multiple locations, including Boston and Peabody, Massachusetts.
Dr. Fishman holds certifications from the American Board of Pediatrics in Gastroenterology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Yale University (1984), medical school at New York University (1989), and residency and fellowships at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Boston Children’s Hospital. Her research emphasizes optimizing care transitions for adolescents with chronic conditions and improving treatment adherence in pediatric IBD.
