Brian Regan, DO, is an Attending Physician in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Boston Children's Hospital and an Instructor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He specializes in treating pediatric gastrointestinal conditions such as abdominal pain, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and ulcerative colitis. His clinical expertise includes managing complex cases of diarrhea, constipation, and food allergies in children.
Dr. Regan received his undergraduate degree from Long Island University (1994) and earned his medical degree from New York Osteopathic Medical College (2001). He completed his internship and residency at Winthrop University Hospital (2002–2004) and a fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at Long Island Jewish-North Shore Health System (2007).
He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both General Pediatrics and Gastroenterology. His practice locations include Boston Children's at Milford, North Dartmouth, and the main Waltham facility.
His clinical focus includes the management of ulcerative colitis, as evidenced by his publication in Paediatr Drugs (2014). He collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for gastrointestinal disorders, leveraging the Division’s specialized programs such as the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center.
