Laurent DESSEMOND is a Professor at IUT1 of Grenoble (Grenoble INP - Université Grenoble Alpes), leading the Physical Measurements department since September 2014. He holds a Doctorate in Electrochemistry (1992, INPG) and a Qualification to Supervise Research in Chemistry (2005, UJF). His research focuses on solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), high-temperature water vapor electrolyzers (SOEC), ceramic oxide properties, gas electrode reactions, and impedance spectroscopy. He has supervised 10 theses and published 60 peer-reviewed articles, alongside 20 conference communications.
- Education:
- 2005: Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (Chemistry, UJF)
- 1992: PhD (Electrochemistry, INPG)
- Teaching: Solution chemistry, electrochemistry, ceramics at IUT1.
- Responsibilities: Head of Admissions (2006-2014), current department head.
His scientific work integrates advanced materials characterization with energy storage systems, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaborations. The LEPMI laboratory (UMR 5279, CNRS-Grenoble-INP-UdS-UJF) supports his research activities.
