Bernardou Dimitra

Bernardou Dimitra is an Assistant Professor at the University of Crete, affiliated with the Department of Materials Science & Technology. She has been active in research and teaching since 2006, with roles at the Technical University of Crete and the University of Crete. Her expertise lies in materials science and electrochemical applications.

Research Interests: Her work focuses on advanced materials for energy storage (batteries/supercapacitors), thin film coatings, nanostructured materials, and electrochemical characterization. She explores liquid/vapor phase deposition techniques, impedance spectroscopy, and material optimization for energy applications.

Teaching & Supervision: Taught courses in Materials Technology, Electrochemistry, and Structural Analysis. Supervised 39 undergraduate theses, 4 postgraduate theses, and 2 doctoral theses.

Research Contributions: Authored ~80 publications (~3,303 citations, h-index 34), 3 monographs, and 4 book chapters. Participated in 9 research programs on metal oxides for energy/environmental applications.
