Education:
- MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling: Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology
Robin's research and practice integrate Buddhist psychology with ancestral spiritual traditions—including brujeria, hedge witchery, and Jewish ritual—from their Cuban, Puerto Rican, Ashkenazi Jewish, and Germanic lineages into clinical counseling frameworks. They specialize in LGBTQIA2s+ affirmative therapy with emphases on trauma, relationships, and sex therapy, while advancing anti-carceral, abolitionist, and disability justice principles in mental healthcare. Their work positions spiritual practice as intrinsically linked to collective liberation and social engagement.
Robin teaches core courses including Diagnosis & Treatment Planning, Internship Supervision, and Multicultural Counseling, while directing Maitri I Retreats to cultivate contemplative approaches among students. As an internship supervisor, they guide trainees in applying these integrated frameworks within clinical settings.
