Dr. Lauren Sakae Nishimura is a Lecturer at the University of Melbourne's Melbourne Law School, specializing in climate change law, international law, and human rights. Her research addresses climate adaptation, environmental displacement, and the intersection of human rights with climate migration. She holds a PhD in Law from the University of Oxford and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center, with significant practice experience as an environmental lawyer in the U.S. and Southeast Asia.
