Chaloka Beyani is an Associate Professor of International Law at the LSE Law School and serves as Chair of the Advisory Board for the Centre for the Study of Human Rights, as well as a member of the Centre for Climate Change at LSE. He concurrently holds the role of United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Internally Displaced Persons. With a D.Phil from the University of Oxford and LLB/LLM from the University of Zambia, he has extensive academic and diplomatic experience in treaty negotiation, constitutional drafting, and human rights advocacy.

His work bridges academic research with policy implementation in post-conflict states and transitional governance.
Professional Affiliations: Member of UK Foreign Secretary's Advisory Group on Human Rights, African Union Government Advisory Panel, and joint AU-EU Expert Group on Universal Jurisdiction.
