Lauren Flannery is a Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy and Health Sciences at the University of East Anglia (UEA). She holds a University Teaching Fellowship in Inclusive Education and leads the Communication Access Project to improve communication accessibility across UEA. As School Academic Lead for Athena Swan and Chair of the School Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, she champions equity in higher education.

- Bachelor of Health Science in Speech & Language Sciences (Newcastle University, 2006)
Research Interests: Focuses on teacher-student relationships in HE, communication access, relational pedagogy, and clinical education in healthcare. Leads projects on impact evaluation of relational pedagogy and collaborates with NHS England on advanced practice education.

Advising & Grants: Supervises student Quality Improvement projects and final-year dissertations. Collaborates on NHS England initiatives. Active in clinical practice with 17 years' experience in public/private sectors.
Labs/Teams: Leads UEA's Communication Access Project and chairs School EDI committees. Collaborates with Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) as Clinical Academic Mentor and Leadership Mentor.
