Ria Bayliss is a Senior Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy at Cardiff Metropolitan University's School of Sport & Health Sciences. She transitioned from full-time NHS clinical work to academic roles in 2011 (part-time) and 2014 (full-time), while also serving as a Registered Intermediary for the Ministry of Justice to support vulnerable witnesses in court. Currently, she leads the BSc (Hons) Speech & Language Therapy program.
