Lauren Devine is a Professor of Linguistics and Law at the University of Lancaster, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). She holds multiple qualifications including LL.B.(Hons), LL.M., M.A. (Corpus Linguistics), Ph.D., and is a Barrister with a P.G.Cert.H.E. Her research focuses on applying corpus linguistics to legal contexts, particularly in safeguarding and family justice systems. She has secured over £3.5 million in research grants from organizations like the ESRC and Nuffield Foundation.
