Laura Wilde is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Healthcare and Communities (CHC) at Coventry University, holding Chartered Psychologist status. Her work focuses on chronic health conditions, COPD, wearable technology, and qualitative research methods. She leads projects like a COPD smartwatch resource website and studies the impact of Professional Nurse Advocates (PNAs) on patient outcomes.
Educated at Coventry University (PhD 2023), the University of Southampton (MSc Health Psychology), and the University of Winchester (BSc Psychology), she has held roles at the University of Leicester and Zipabout. Her research explores healthcare sustainability, including a multi-country survey on nursing and climate change. Collaborations include work with Professors Rosie Kneafsey and Liz Lees-Deutsch. She is currently accepting PhD students.
Her projects emphasize co-creation with patients and practitioners, such as the SUSTAIN-ING study evaluating PNAs. Recent activities include organizing national conferences on nurse advocacy and presenting at events like the Research Capability and Development Conference 2025.
