Dr Laura Incollingo is a Researcher at the School of History, University of St Andrews. Her work focuses on early modern publishing history, political engagement in Mediterranean cities, and cultural dynamics in Spanish Naples. She completed her PhD in 2023 under the supervision of Prof. Arthur Pettegree, examining political engagement and popular print in Spanish Naples (1503-1707).
Her research explores the intersection of print culture, governance, and urban life in early modern Europe. Key themes include the competitive dynamics of book publishing, the role of print in shaping public discourse, and the material aspects of book production and distribution.
Recent publications include studies on the Naples publishing rivalry between Parrino and Bulifon (2025), the political dimensions of print culture in Spanish Naples (2024), and comparative analyses of news dissemination in Florence and Naples (2024). She has contributed to international projects on early modern book markets, including a 2023 conference paper on Naples' Spanish Vicerealm publishing networks.
