Laura Henriksen is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Writing at Pratt Institute’s School of Liberal Arts & Sciences. She holds a BFA in Writing from Pratt Institute (2012) and an MA in Liberal Studies with a focus on American Studies & Gender Studies from the CUNY Graduate Center (2019). Her research and creative work centers on poetry, gender studies, and literary arts.
Henriksen is the author of Laura’s Desires (Nightboat, 2024) and the forthcoming Duvall, Shelley (Newest York, 2025). Her writing appears in LitHub, The Brooklyn Rail, and shitwonder. She previously served as Program Director of the Poetry Project and resides in Bed-Stuy, Lenapehoking.
