Professor Laura Costanzo is the Head of Southampton Business School and holds the position of Professor of Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at the University of Southampton. She leads the Department of Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (DSIE) and co-founded the Centre for Inclusive and Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CISEI) and the Family Business Lab. Her administrative roles include Director of the SBS PhD Programmes and member of the SBS Executive Team.
Her research focuses on entrepreneurship, family businesses, sustainable/social entrepreneurship, and strategic decision-making. She has supervised 13 doctoral theses and welcomes PhD applications in these areas. Awards include the Emerald Literati Network Award (2007), BAM Strategic Foresight SIG Award (2008), and Paul Harris Fellowship (2022).
Professor Costanzo teaches on postgraduate programmes such as MSc Global Entrepreneurship and the MBA. She contributes to editorial boards of journals like the British Journal of Management and European Management Review, and actively participates in international conferences as a keynote speaker.
