Laura Charlesworth

Laura Charlesworth is a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for the BSc Radiotherapy and Oncology program at the College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences, Sheffield Hallam University. She holds qualifications including BSc, MSc, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. Her clinical background as a Therapeutic Radiographer informs her teaching in Radiotherapy physics, oncology, and interprofessional education. She is a registered Practice Educator with the Society and College of Radiographers.

Research & Professional Activities

• PhD candidate (since 2016): Focus on mental health and cancer.
• Recipient of the 2015 Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship to study health improvement strategies in Canadian radiotherapy practices.
• CoRips Award winner for smoking cessation initiatives in radiotherapy (2016).
