Dr Laura Bird is a Research Fellow at Monash University, currently affiliated with the Department of Medicine Monash Health in the School of Clinical Sciences. She holds a PhD in Neuropsychology and a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on cognitive health, neuroprotective effects of music, and digital health technologies for palliative care and mental health. Previously, she worked at the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health and The Florey Institute of Neuroscience.

Research Interests:
Dr Bird investigates cognitive resilience post-stroke, neuroprotective roles of music in epilepsy, and digital interventions for wellbeing. She leads projects on telehealth applications in palliative care and cross-cultural mental health needs. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals in education and health.
