Yen Ying Lim

Associate Professor Yen Ying Lim is an academic at Monash University's Turner Institute for Brain & Mental Health, specializing in Alzheimer's disease research. She holds a PhD in Neuropsychology from the University of Melbourne and has conducted postdoctoral work at Brown University and Washington University. Her primary roles include leading the Healthy Brain Project and BetterBrains Trial, and serving as a senior scientist at the Australian Imaging, Biomarkers and Lifestyle (AIBL) study. Her research focuses on integrating genetic, biological, and lifestyle factors affecting cognitive decline in Alzheimer’s, as well as developing web-based cognitive assessments for early detection.

Projects: Active projects include behavior change programs for cognitive decline prevention, digital sleep interventions for dementia patients, and robotic elderly care strategies. She leads a multi-domain lifestyle trial (BetterBrains) targeting middle-aged adults at risk of dementia.

Grants & Collaborations: Principal investigator on multiple ARC-funded projects and collaborates internationally with institutions like Washington University’s DIAN initiative. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and education.
