Laura Arnott is a Lecturer in Drama at The University of Manchester, specializing in transcultural gaming, queer gaming, and media convergence. She holds a PhD in Drama from the University of Manchester, focusing on the transcultural reception of Japanese Role-Playing Games (JRPGs). Her research explores how players engage with cultural elements in games, shaping hybrid identities and transcultural understanding. She also teaches courses including 'Screen, Culture and Society' and 'Introduction to World Cinemas.'
