Johannes Sjoberg is a Lecturer in Screen Studies at the University of Manchester’s Faculty of Humanities, Drama department. He holds a PhD in Drama (2009) and an MA in Visual Anthropology (2001), alongside a BA in Social Anthropology (1997). His work bridges artistic and academic research, focusing on screen practice as a tool for cultural understanding. He explores docufiction, ethnographic film, and interdisciplinary creative methods to interrogate identity, performance, and societal issues.
