Dr. Lorenzo Ferrarini is a Lecturer in Visual Anthropology at the University of Manchester, affiliated with the Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology. He holds a PhD in Social Anthropology (2014) and a postgraduate degree from the University of Milan-Bicocca (2008). His research focuses on Mande Africa, particularly Burkina Faso, exploring themes like hunting, ecological perception, sound, and embodiment. He is renowned for his work in documentary film, photography, and sound recording, with notable projects including Kalanda: The Knowledge of the Bush (2015) and Living the Weather (2016).
