Lau Ee Von is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer in the Mechanical Discipline at the School of Engineering, Monash University Malaysia. Her research focuses on flotation technology, bubble-particle interactions, and heat transfer enhancement via ionic wind and bubbly flows.
- Education: PhD in Engineering (University of Nottingham Malaysia), Bachelor of Engineering (University of Melbourne), Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (Monash University Malaysia).
- Research Interests: Flotation technology for environmental remediation, surface science, and heat transfer applications in sustainable systems.
Her recent publications highlight advancements in microbubble-microplastic interactions, graphene oxide coatings, and thermal-hydraulic optimization. She has secured 3 external grants from the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).
- Awards: Australia-APEC Women in Research Fellowship (2019); teaching awards including PVC’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (2012), School of Engineering Award (2020), and Faculty of Engineering Citation (2020).
Lau actively supervises PhD students and contributes to academic governance as a Grievance Advisor at Monash University Malaysia. She also serves as Honorary Secretary for the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) Malaysia.
