Laszlo Mihaly

Laszlo Mihaly is a tenured Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at Stony Brook University (SBU), part of the State University of New York (SUNY). He has held leadership roles including Chair of the Department of Physics & Astronomy (2009–2015) and Interim Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences (2014). His research focuses on condensed matter physics, particularly electron correlations in solids, using techniques like infrared spectroscopy and electron spin resonance. He has led a research group and administered over $2 million in grants.
