László Forró is the Aurora and Thomas Marquez Professor of Physics of Complex Quantum Matter at the University of Notre Dame, leading the Stavropoulos Center for Complex Quantum Matter. His research focuses on three major fields: quantum electronic materials, functional nanostructures, and biomaterials.

Research Highlights: Synthesis and characterization of carbon nanotubes and nanostructured arrays; oxidative stress studies using ESR, AFM, and SIRMS; mechanical properties of biological and nanotube systems; transport and electron spin resonance in molecular materials, cuprates, manganates, and fullerenes; tunneling spectroscopy in superconductors; and optical properties of correlated systems and biomaterials.
