Dr. Takashi Imai is a Professor of Physics & Astronomy at McMaster University, specializing in experimental quantum condensed matter physics. His research focuses on quantum spin liquids, high-temperature superconductivity, and strongly correlated electrons, utilizing NMR and NQR techniques at cryogenic temperatures. His laboratory houses three superconducting magnets (0–16 Tesla) for advanced experimental probing. He has received prestigious awards including the Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship and American Physical Society Fellowship.
