معرفی
Vesna Mitrovic is the Chair of Physics and L. Herbert Ballou University Professor of Physics at Brown University, with a joint appointment in the School of Engineering. She leads the Condensed Matter NMR Group, focusing on quantum properties of materials using resonance techniques under extreme conditions (high magnetic fields/low temperatures). Her research spans superconductivity, electronic correlations, and structural distortions in materials like perovskites and kagome lattices.
Education: Ph.D. from Northwestern University (2001), postdoctoral work at Grenoble High Magnetic Field Laboratory. Awards include the A. P. Sloan Fellowship and American Physical Society Fellowship.
Research interests include NMR studies of quantum materials, machine-learning-driven analysis of electronic correlations, and experimental collaborations at facilities like LNCMI (France), CINT (USA), and NHMFL (USA). Her group develops software tools like PULSEE for quantum simulations and cryogenic instrumentation for precision measurements.
Publications highlight advancements in understanding magnetism in nonmagnetic oxides, carrier-doped superconductors, and anyonic thermal interferometry. Her work bridges experimental physics with computational methods, emphasizing extreme conditions and novel quantum phenomena.
