Lasse Jensen is a Senior Associate Professor at Linköping University's Department of Health, Medicine and Caring Sciences (HMV), part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (MEDFAK). His research focuses on functional precision medicine using zebrafish tumor xenograft models to individualize cancer treatment, vascular dysfunction in diseases like cancer and retinopathies, and sleep disruption in oncology patients. He holds a Master of Engineering (Biotechnology) from DTU (2005) and a PhD in Medical Sciences from Karolinska Institutet (2010). After postdoctoral roles at Karolinska and Linköping, he became a lecturer and later Senior Associate Professor (since 2018).
His research spans three main areas: 1) Zebrafish PDX models for personalized cancer therapy, supported by grants like ALADDIN and EVEREST; 2) Vascular mechanisms in eye and brain diseases, including hypoxia-driven angiogenesis; and 3) Sleep disruption's impact on cancer treatment outcomes. He collaborates with institutions like Karolinska and Jönköping University on clinical studies.
