Larry Hawk

Larry W. Hawk, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. He serves as Coordinator of Research Advancement within the College of Arts and Sciences. His primary research focuses on smoking and vaping cessation mechanisms, psychophysiology of addiction, and cognitive processes in ADHD. Hawk leads the Behavioral Health Lab, collaborating on NIH-funded projects addressing tobacco use, prenatal exposure effects, and team science interventions.

Education: PhD from University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Research spans laboratory and clinical trials, including the EVarQuit study extending varenicline pre-treatment duration and the FRIENDS project tracking vaping behavior.
