Lara Demori

Lara Demori is a Research Fellow at Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute for Art History, specializing in transnational art exchanges between Italy and Latin America. She holds a PhD in Contemporary Art History from the University of Edinburgh (2017). Her current project examines diasporic narratives in art between 1960-1980.

Research focuses on:

• Body and audience participation in contemporary art
• Political dimensions of 1960s-70s art
• Feminist perspectives in Latin American art
• Nuclear threat representations in visual culture

Awards include research fellowships at Haus der Kunst Munich and Philadelphia Museum of Art.
