Dr. Anna Magnago Lampugnani is a Scientific Assistant at the Bibliotheca Hertziana in Rome, working under Prof. Dr. Tanja Michalsky since April 2023. She specializes in Art Theory, frame and ornament phenomena, and transcultural artistic exchanges between Spain and Southern Italy during the Early Modern Period. Her research focuses on aristocratic tombs in Naples under Spanish Viceroyalty, exploring their role in constructing cultural identities and memory.
- Education: Studied Art History and Literature in Constance, Rome, and Berlin; earned her PhD at Humboldt-Universität Berlin (2018) with a dissertation on 'Furor' and artistic inspiration in Early Modern Art.
