Antonia Belli

Antonia Belli is a doctoral candidate in the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at University College London and a Predoctoral Fellow at the Bibliotheca Hertziana, Max Planck Institute for Art History. Her research focuses on early modern material culture, particularly the production, use, and circulation of medicine chests in Italy between the 16th and 17th centuries.

Her work explores the intersection of pharmacy, artistic craftsmanship, and scientific practices in early modern Europe. She has conducted archival research at the Uffizi Gallery and collaborates with institutions like the Museo di Storia della Medicina at Università la Sapienza.

She has also held a visiting research student position at Yale University in 2024 and previously earned a Master’s in History and Philosophy of Science from UCL (2020) and a BSc in Physics with Philosophy from the University of York (2019).
