Lander Hawes is a Lecturer and Postgraduate Supervisor at the School for Business and Society, University of York. He has been employed there since October 2019, focusing on teaching academic skills and supporting international business students. His research interests include embedding critical thinking in academic writing, transitioning international students from IELTS to university standards, and leveraging gamification for language learning (e.g., via Kinjugo).
