Claire Roper

Claire Roper is an International Programmes Tutor at York St John University, specializing in English for Academic Purposes (EAP). She holds an MA from York St John University, a BA from Leeds, and the CELTA qualification (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). With over a decade of teaching experience, she has worked at York St John since 2011 on a casual basis and recently completed the advanced DELTA qualification (Diploma in Teaching English to Adults).

Her role involves teaching diverse courses, including the 30-week Preparation for Academic Success program for international students. Prior to her teaching career, she worked as a disability support worker and taught at UK summer schools. She also serves as an IELTS exam supervisor.
