Ladislau Matekovits

Ladislau Matekovits is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET) of the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy. He holds a PhD in Electronic Engineering from the same university (1998) and has been affiliated with DET since post-doctoral fellowship in 1995.

Research Interests: His work focuses on advanced numerical analysis of printed antennas, metamaterials, cloaking, and reconfigurable antenna systems. He employs integral equation methods for full-wave analysis, optimization techniques, and biosensor development.

Recent Publications Trends: Recent works address sub-THz metamaterials, bound states in continuum via Babinet principle, neural network modeling for antennas, and high-gain antenna designs. These span applications in 6G communication, satellite systems, and medical diagnostics.

Scientific Recognition: Awardee of the 2018 Motohisa Kanda Award (IEEE EMC Society), 2015 IEEE Access Editor of the Month, and 2013 International Collaboration Award (Australian Research Council).
