Paola Pirinoli

Paola Pirinoli is a Full Professor at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET) at the Polytechnic University of Turin. Her research focuses on antennas, computational electromagnetics, and innovative optimization techniques, with a particular emphasis on reflectarray and transmitarray antennas. She has contributed to high-frequency communication technology and millimeter wave applications, aligning with the ERC PE7 sectors and UN SDG Goal 9.

• Research Leadership: Leads the Applied Electromagnetics research group, specializing in planar reflectarrays and smart electromagnetic skins.
• Supervised Students: Mentors Owais Khan, Francesco Lattanzio, and Shahid Ayaz in the Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering PhD program.
