Kyungnan Min

Dr. Kyungnan Min is a Senior Lecturer and Undergraduate Assessment Coordinator in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at South Dakota State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Ajou University (South Korea), and a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Ajou University.

Her academic interests center on water quality management in natural and engineered systems, with specific expertise in domestic/industrial wastewater treatment technologies, biological treatment processes, and membrane-based water purification systems. Her work bridges environmental engineering principles with practical water infrastructure solutions.

At SDSU, Dr. Min teaches courses including Principles of Environmental Science and Engineering, Computer-Aided Design for Civil Engineering, Municipal Water Systems Design, Industrial Waste Treatment, and Capstone Design projects. She maintains professional affiliations with the Water Environment Federation and Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors, and holds a Professional Engineer license in Florida. Prior to her academic appointment, she gained industry experience as an engineer at Jones Edmunds and Associates in Florida.
