KyoungHwa Oh is an Associate Professor of Art - Ceramics at Colorado Mesa University, where she also served as the department's first Artist-in-Residence. She holds an MFA in Ceramics from Southern Illinois University and a BFA in Fashion Design from Washburn University. Her career transitioned from fashion design in Seoul, Korea, to ceramics in the U.S., blending traditional Korean techniques with Western contemporary styles.

Her research focuses on carving porcelain to explore themes of nature, cultural duality (Yin-Yang dynamics), and functional/sculptural forms. Works integrate Korean Koryo Celadon traditions with modern Western aesthetics, emphasizing harmony between positive/negative space and organic motifs like water, flowers, and landscapes. Key exhibitions include ICMEA 2010 Emerging Artists (China), NCECA 2011 (Florida), and multiple national/international juried shows.
