Kyleen Myrah is a Professor of Business at Okanagan College's Okanagan School of Business, where she has taught management and social entrepreneurship for over 24 years. She also serves as President of KyCo Management, a corporate training company specializing in leadership development and strategic planning.
Her educational background includes a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership & Policy from the University of British Columbia (2004), a Master of Public Administration from Dalhousie University (1994), and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queen's University (1991). She holds the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and certifications in Emotional Intelligence (EQ-i 2.0) and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
Dr. Myrah's research centers on social entrepreneurship, non-profit management, and corporate social responsibility, with significant extensions into homelessness research through the Kelowna Homelessness Research Collaborative (KHRC). Her work emphasizes service learning, mentorship, and allyship in research, particularly focusing on vulnerabilities to homelessness and community-based solutions.
Her publication record shows a clear trajectory from theoretical frameworks in social entrepreneurship to applied case studies addressing real-world challenges like homelessness and pandemic response. The majority of her recent work employs the case research method, often co-authored with community partners and students, demonstrating practical applications of business education for social impact.

Her work integrates community engagement with academic rigor through the Lived Experience Circle on Homelessness.
