Kyera Singleton serves as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for the Humanities at Tufts University and Executive Director of the Royall House and Slave Quarters, focusing on historical legacies of slavery and colonialism through public scholarship.
She earned a PhD in American Culture from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, establishing her foundation in interdisciplinary historical research.
Her research integrates public history with community action, examining how historical injustices manifest in contemporary society. She actively develops public-facing projects like the Boston Slavery Exhibit and advises municipal commissions on recontextualizing historical monuments, emphasizing participatory approaches to historical memory and racial justice.
