Kurt Paul Munz is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Bocconi University. He holds a PhD in Marketing from New York University’s Stern School of Business. His research focuses on experimental approaches to consumer judgment and decision-making, particularly exploring how social cues like voice characteristics influence consumer behavior.
Education: PhD in Marketing (NYU Stern), advanced degrees in Psychology, Communication, and Marketing.
Research Interests: Consumer Rationalization, Information Processing, Gender Ambiguity in Voice Technology, Email Personalization Strategies, and the impact of social disfluency on product evaluations. His work bridges marketing and psychology, addressing questions such as how unfamiliar voices affect consumer trust and decision-making.
Teaching includes advanced marketing management and consumer behavior courses. His recent studies include groundbreaking work on gender-ambiguous voices and their psychological effects, published in Psychological Science, and field experiments on email personalization in Marketing Science.
He collaborates with institutions globally and actively participates in conferences such as the Society for Consumer Psychology and European Marketing Academy.
